Treatments That Push What’s Possible

Explore leading-edge orthopedic and regenerative treatments designed to restore function and get you moving faster.

Bone marrow and adipose derived regenerative cell therapy promotes healing by stimulating and accelerating new tissue growth as well as changing the treatment area from being inflamed and degradative, to more natural, restorative and compatible with function. This advanced treatment helps patients avoid surgery and get back to living, pain-free.

PRP therapy uses your body’s own platelets to stimulate healing and reduce inflammation. While it is paired with stem cell therapy, it also can be used alone as an effective option for mild tendon, muscle and ligament injuries or early arthritis.

Sports medicine is a field dedicated to the specialized treatment of non-surgical orthopedic conditions. At Bayes Sports Medicine our board-certified, fellowship trained specialists are medical doctors and physician assistants who treat injuries with leading-edge techniques, guiding athletes and active individuals from diagnosis to full return.

Bayes Sports Medicine combines advanced diagnostics and targeted therapies to restore joint and soft tissue function. We offer in-office X-rays, diagnostic ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures to improve accuracy and outcomes. Ultrasound is dynamic, cost-effective, and often more precise than MRI for certain injuries—helping us pinpoint issues earlier and personalize care from the very first visit.

How do you determine the best treatment for me?

We begin by listening to you and thoroughly examining the area of interest. We determine if an imaging test is needed and perform it in the office. We then include you in the discussion of available treatment options, choosing which is optimal for you.

Can I request a specific treatment?

Every patient is different, and we take that into account. Yes, we listen to requests and will determine if that course is the best for you.

Do I have to be an athlete to see a sports medicine/regenerative orthopedic doctor?

Every patient is an athlete, but very few are paid to play. Walking to get the paper or on a grocery store trip is meaningful movement, and we want to support that in everyone. Movement is medicine, we apply this principle to every patient we see in a manner appropriate to them.

Do you perform surgery?

We are non-surgical orthopedists, all of our procedures are performed in our office. We collaborate with the best orthopedic surgeons in the country as needed.

What insurance do you take?

We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare.

Is PRP covered by insurance?

Most insurance companies do not cover these procedures and consider them investigational. We offer patient financing options.

How much do these treatments cost?

The correct treatment for each patient is determined in our office. Our regenerative treatments are below the 50th percentile in cost nationwide.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payment plans are available upon request.

Are there side effects?

Our procedures are proven to be safe. Our side effect rate is similar to any orthopedic injection such as corticosteroid.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare?

Please prepare for your treatment by getting plenty of rest, remain hydrated, and eat well. We will discuss specific pain control measures prior to your treatment.

Is treatment painful?

Our treatments are very reasonable, and patient comfort is key. We minimize pain using inhaled nitrous oxide similar to a dental procedure, as well as local anesthetic. Our procedures are very accurate which minimizes pain. We also play music of the patient’s choice during the procedure.

Will I have to do PT after treatment?

We partner with the best therapy teams in St. Louis in order to optimize strength, stability and performance as soon as possible. We communicate with our therapists and provide evidence based rehabilitation plans.
